Building Allah’s House
Dear brothers and sisters in Islam Assalamu alaykum wa Rahmatullah wa barakatuh, For Several years now, Greater Cincinnati Islamic Association ( Mulberry Mosque) is striving hard with the help of Allah and your generous supports to help the Muslim community in the Lockland area to fulfill their obligations and their Islamic responsibilities by providing them with comprehensive services, a place for worship, among other. Because of the temporary nature of our Mulberry court location, the limit of its size, and the tremendous increase of people attending our Jumah prayer, we were working diligently trying to acquire a larger facility in the area, which may be more suitable for the needs of the community. Last year, however, the village of Lockland decided to close our Mulberry Court location, citing zoning code issues. That decision has made our need for a place to build a Mosque even more urgent. As a result, the community pulled together their resources, and in February, with Allah’s help, we were able to purchase a building, formerly used as a daycare, located at 7762 Reading Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45237.
We praise Allah (SWT) who made it possible for us to acquire this property, and we thank the whole Muslim community who have given generously to the project.
Now, the next phase is the remodeling project which the estimated cost is between $150.000.00 to 200K. We are appealing to all the members of the Muslim community to generously contribute to this noble project.
The Messenger of Allah, Muhammad – Sal Allaahu Alayhi wa Sallam – said: “Whoever builds a Masjid, seeking the pleasure of ALLAH, ALLAH shall build a house for him in Paradise.” (Bukhari)
